ABOUT CHERYL AND ROB

We love people and playing board games!

We are long-time board game aficionados from Wilmington, North Carolina. Married for over 30 years, we’ve played thousands of games across the board from each other and have hosted countless board game nights for friends of all ages. We are educators recently retired from the public school system and currently run a busy virtual tutoring service, with clients in grades 3 through college. Across the Board Game Nights is the love child of our combined passions for playing board games and teaching. We recognize that in the current renaissance in tabletop games, many people are eager to take the leap from traditional board games to more creative, visually appealing, complex and interactive games, but don’t have the time or inclination to decipher a daunting 5 to 10 page rulebook. Choose from our ever-growing game library (or request a game you’d like to learn) and we’ll bring it to you and your group, teach you how to play it, and leave you with a voucher to purchase your own copy at a discount from our friends at Cape Fear Games, right here in Wilmington. Our objective is to provide you with not just one night of fun and laughter, but also skills that you’ll be able to power into a lifetime hobby.
